• Measure the three required lengths. Refer to the
measuring sequence and the device orientation indicated
by the digits in the diagram above. The height is calculated
automatically and will appear in the bottom row.
f) Length and partial length measurements
A reference end point must be positioned on the
measurement level (line 3), e.g. when the measuring device
is placed at the foot of a building. The measurement for line
3 must be taken when the device is horizontally opposite.
• Press the
functions menu.
• Press the + (9) or - button (12) to select the length/
partial length measurement mode (
selection with the MEAS button (4).
• Measure the three required lengths. Refer to the
measuring sequence and the device orientation indicated
by the digits in the diagram above. The length (indicated
in grey in the diagram) between reference endpoints 1 +
2 is automatically calculated and displayed in the results
line (bottom of the display).
g) Automatic level calculation
This measuring function automatically determines the
distance of the measuring device to the reference point in
the horizontal measuring plane of the device. The measured
length (L) is indicated in green on the LCD display (8).
