ATTENTION: Before connecting the connector 11, intended for safety edge during
opening, make sure that the version of the software of the command card is:
- v.02 or later versions => for command card KS2 12/24v.

N.B.: LED D2, LED D4 and LED D5 must always be turned on for a correct
functioning .
PEDESTRIAN OPENING BUTTON (10-12)
This command operates the partial opening of the gate and Its closing. When the gate Is
partly open, it is not possible to operate its total opening using the pedestrian command.
It is first necessary to close the gate than to open it totally.
Through DIP 5 it is possible to choose the mode of function of the pedestrian command.
If DIP5 is set on OFF position => It is a cyclic command. Every command operates a

THIS CAN BE DONE IN EITHER OF TWO WAYS:
MODE 1 - WITH ENCODER (DIP 7 ON )
MODE 2 - WITH CURRENT SENSOR (DIP 7 OFF)

With the gate closed.
1 - Select DIP2 ON first (Quick flashing of led DL7) and then DIP1 ON (Slow flashing of
led DL7).

have no effects. Commands the closing when the gate id
opened. If another command is sent during the closing of
the gate it will re-open the gate.
2 - Depress the pedestrian pushbutton (10-12) => M1 opens.
3 - Depress the pedestrian pushbutton to stop the gate travel (total gate opening is thus
defined).
4 - Wait for the desired opening time (can be excluded selecting DIP9 OFF), then depress
the pedestrian pushbutton to start closure. Closure will be performed in quick mode for
most of travel, and in slow mode in proximity of closure end.
5 - On completion of closure select DIP1 and 2 OFF.
MODE 2
With the gate closed.
1 - Select DIP2 ON first (Quick flashing of led DL7) and then DIP1 ON (Slow flashing of
led DL7).
2 - Depress the pedestrian pushbutton (10-12) => M1 opens at quick speed.
3 – Depress the pedestrian pushbutton to slow the gate during the opening stroke.
3 – Depress the pedestrian pushbutton to stop the travel (thus setting the pedestrian
opening of the gate in slow mode)
4 - Wait for the desired opening time (can be excluded selecting DIP9 OFF), then depress
the pedestrian pushbutton to start closure. Closure will be performed in quick mode for
most of travel, and in slow mode in proximity of closure end.
5 - On completion of closure select DIP1 and 2 OFF.
Pause times before the automatic pedestrian closing of the gate are set during the
programming procedure.
The max. pause time is 5 minutes.
You can start or stop the pause time using DIP9 (ON starts).
If the safety edge intervenes during the opening of the gate, it commands the reversal of
the movement. This reversal will continue even if the safety edge remains pressed. During
closing the safety edge is not active.
When the safety edge is not in used contacts 11-12 must be bridged.
If it detects an object during the opening cycle, it then operates the closing of the gate at
the end of the interposition. If it detects one during the closing cycle, it then operates the
opening at the end of the interposition.
This function is particularly helpful when you want the gate to close immediately after you
passed it. If it is not used, jumper the terminals 9-12.
It is possible to supply 24Vac power to the coil of a relay, so as to feed one lamp or more
for a minimum period of 1 second and for a maximum period of 4 minutes (controlled by
the TR trimmer fitted on the EXPANDER card).

When the gate is closed, the traffic light is turned off.
The red light (3-4) turns on when the gate opens.
The green light (5-6) turns on when the gate is open and the red light turns off.
The green light remains turned on until the automatic closing starts.
When the gate closes, the green light turns off and the red light turns on.
Code ACG4645 for KS2 12V (1 or 2 motor)
Full charging time for 12Vdc 7 Ah battery (optional, code ACG9510) on first installation is
24 hrs, with a charging current of 0,03A.
Code ACG4648 for KS2 24V (1 o 2 motor)
Full charging time for 12Vdc 2,2 Ah batteries (Q.ty 2 items connected in series, optional
code ACG9515), on first installation is 24 hrs, with a charging current of 0,03A.
WARNING LIGHT FOR THE BATTERY STATE
In case of network voltage drop, with safety battery activation, this warning light turns on,
signalling the power mains failure, and starts blinking only when the battery is charged.
When the warning light blinks, all functions of the control board are inhibited.
The warning light turns off only when the network is supplied with the due voltage and all
commands are ready to work again (the battery recharges only when the network voltage
is available).
