Usage limits

(EN 60974-1, -10)
Using of the welding power source is typically inter-
mittent, when is used the most effective working
hours for welding and rest periods for placement of
welded parts, the preparatory operations, etc. These
welding inverters are designed to load welding
current up to 150 A (FÉNIX 160) and 190 A (FÉNIX
200) for nominal current of 25% of the total usage
time. The standard presents loading in the 10 minute
cycle For example for 30% of duty working cycle is
considered three minutes out of ten minutes time
period of welding and seven minutes of cooling.
If the allowable working cycle is exceeded, this state
will be indicated with blinking sign of °C. If the
machine is still loaded, it will happen that function
with thermal protection be interrupted and this
condition will still indicate blinking sign of °C. In these
cases it is appropriate to keep the source running for
maintance of forced cooling fan. After a few minutes
the source will cool down and the inscription °C
replaces the size of the set welding current. The
machine is ready for another usage.
The machines are primarily designed for use in
network voltage 230V + -15%. It is possible to use
machines below this threshold without damaging , it
is necessary to count with some limited output
power. If there is a deep undervoltage during the
operation the attendant is warned by blinking sign
Uin. On the other hand, at higher than the permited
voltage the machine will be blocked for increasing
resistance by switching elements and the attendant
will be warned by UHI. Both failure report after the
aftermath the causes removes restarting the
machine power switch.
The machines are designed in accordance with IP 23
protection level S.

Safety standards

Welding machines must be used for
Welding and not for other improper
uses. Never use the welding machines
with its removed covers. By removing the covers the
cooling efficiency is reduced and the machine can be
damaged. In this case the supplier does not take his
responsibility for the damage incurred and for this
reason you cannot stake a claim for a guarantee
repair. Their use is permitted only by trained and
experienced persons. The operator must observe CEI
26-9-CENELEC HD407, ISO/IEC 050601, 1993, ISO/IEC
050630, 1993 safety standards in order to guarantee
his safety and that of third parties. Invertors with
rate of protection IP23S are not designed for using
outside in rainfall, unless they are placed under any
cover.
DANGERS WHILE WELDING AND SAFETY INSTRUC-
TIONS FOR MACHINE OPERATORS ARE STATED:
EN 050601:1993 Safety regulations for arc welding of
metals. EN 050630:1993 Safety rules for welding and
plasma cutting. The welding machine must be
checked through in regular inspections according to
EN 33 1500/1990. Instructions for this check-up, see §
3 Public notice ČÚPB number 48/1982 Digest, EN 33
1500:1990
Furthermore the controls and tests of the welding
machines in operation must be done according to EN
60974-4/2007.
KEEP GENERAL FIRE-FIGHTING REGULATIONS!
Keep general fire-fighting regulations while respect-
ting local specific conditions at the same time.
Welding is always specified as an activity with the
risk of a fire. Welding in places with flammable or
explosive materials is strictly forbidden. There must
always be fire extinguishers in the welding place.
