Getting Started

Okay, enough talk - let's plug in and get playing.
1. Connect your guitar to the INPUT on the right side of the front panel.
2. Plug your headphone into the HEADPHONE output or connect the MAIN OUTPUTS on the rear side to the inputs
of your mixer or powered monitor speakers.
3. Power the unit on by bringing the chicken-head switch to the BROWSER position.
Immediately after the startup screen you will be prompted to set the time and date and enter your name. Do not
skip this procedure, because any new sound that you store in the device memory will be tagged with both your
name as the Rig Author and the correct date; this will make it easy to find it later, and make sure it is listed in an
appropriate order. That's it! It's time to start browsing Rigs and playing some guitar.
The Profiler is well-suited to bass guitars - many professional bass players have made the switch to add flexibility
and to tailor their individual sound. Please refer to the chapter "Special features and useful hints for bass players"
in our Reference Manual, which summarizes the information of special interest to bass players.
