Sending the Message

1. From the main menu select Messages and choose the
template type (Template or Predefined) – for details see
"User Defined Templates" on page 146 and "Predefined
Templates" on page 147.
2. Press Send
• If set up by your Service Provider you
have the option to send the message to
a private, phone number or a talkgroup.
• Otherwise select the mail recipient of
your choice from the contact list or enter
the address directly.
3. Press Send or press PTT or
The display will show one of the following delivery reports:
• Message Delivered – to indicate that the message was
successfully sent and received.
• Message Failed – the message was not received.
After sending the message, your MTP850 Ex/MTP810 Ex will
return to the templates list.
It is recommended to wait for the message acknowledge before
sending a new message.
