6.1 Changing the Battery

The multimeter is powered by a 9 V block battery (6LR61). When the battery
starts to deteriorate, the battery symbol in the top left side of the display starts
to flash. Remove and replace the battery as soon as possible with one battery
of the same type and dimension.
Replacing the Battery
• Turn off the unit and disconnect all measuring
cables from the measured object and the sock-
ets of the unit.
• Remove the protective cover from the multime-
ter. Press back one corner and then pull the
protective cover off the multimeter.
• Loosen the three marked screws on the
backside of the cover and remove the bottom
housing.
• Remove the spent battery.
• Insert the battery into the detached housing
shell. Please observe correct polarity. Reattach
the housing and tighten the screws.
CAUTION! Never operate the unit with the housing open!
