Plaster pressure gauge
12.3.1. Advantages of the plaster pressure gauge:
The pump unit includes the plaster pressure gauge.
• Precise adjustment to the correct material consistency.
• Continuous monitoring of the correct delivery pressure.
• Early detection of plugging or overloading of the pump
motor.
• Monitoring for pressure loss.
• Increased safety for operating personnel.
• Longer service life of the wear parts.

12.4. Topping up with material

The PS 12 can be fed with pre-fabricated pasty material
or via an upstream mixer, e.g., STORCH continuous mixer
DMS 25. In both cases, make sure that there is always
enough pumpable material in the pump hopper!
Operation without material or with too
little material
Risk of permanent damage to the screw casing!
• Make sure that there is always enough pumpable mate-
rial in the pump hopper!
• If the pump is operated without material or with too
little material, there is a risk of destroying the screw
casing within a very short time (< 1 minute)!
12.4.1. Disposal of packaging material
Dispose of empty packaging material in an
environmentally friendly manner, according
to the instructions of the packaging
manufacturer!

12.5. Actions in case of hose blockages

There is a risk of injury from material spraying out for per-
sons who are responsible for removing hose blockages.
Always wear personal protective equipment!
Material spraying out
Risk of injury from material spraying out!
• Wear protective goggles!
• Take up a safe position to ensure that you are not hit by
material spraying out!
• Keep all other persons clear!
• Before opening the plaster hose couplings, make sure
that the plaster hoses are depressurised. To do this, chan-
ge the pump motor's direction of rotation (return flow)!
• Note the display on the plaster pressure gauge!
Proceed as follows to remove hose
blockages:
• Hold the position switch in Reverse position to reverse
the motor until the plaster pressure gauge indicates 0 bar
and the material hose is depressurised.
• Use personal protective equipment:
• Cover the coupling with foil or similar material.
• Release the hose coupling.
• Clean the hose.
Remove the hose blockages
To press out the residual material, use one of the follow-
ing methods:
• Insert a water hose into the plaster hose and flush out
the blockage.
