one near a screw on the self-centering device and another near one of the holes on the spindle.
3) Fit the small cone of spindle CF1 and bring it close to the clamping spinner by tightening it manually.
4) Position the wheel on the self-centering device, centred close to it as far as possible.
5) Lock the spinner using the wrench supplied with the accessory.

11.2 TUBELESS TYRES

BEAD BREAKING AND DEMOUNTING
1) After clamping the wheel as described in paragraph 11.1, remove the inside valve
to deflate the tyre and remove any old balancing weights.
2) If the bead breaking roller has been removed, fit it back in its seating on the
horizontal carriage, to the right of the wheel, moving the carriage if necessary, to
give yourself more working space.
NB: When handling wheels up to 380 mm in width, you can use two rollers fitted
on the horizontal carriage at the same time.
3) Move the horizontal and vertical carriages so that the outside bead breaker roller
R
is about 5 mm from the outside edge of the rim (See Fig. R).
4) Move the horizontal carriage towards the inside, meanwhile turning the spindle
in either direction until the outside bead is inside the drop centre.
WARNING: During and after this operation, lubricate the surfaces of contact
between the tyre and spinner generously with a special soap solution.
NB: The greater the adherence of the tyre to the rim, the slower must be the move-
ment of the bead breaking roller into the tyre.
5) Proceed with bead breaking of the inside bead. If only one bead breaking roller
is being used, shift it from the outside to the inside.
Position the bead breaking roller 5 mm away from the rim diameter, move the hori-
S
zontal carriage outwards and simultaneously turn the spindle until the inside bead
is close to the drop centre.
NB: The greater the adherence of the tyre to the rim, the slower must be the movement of the bead breaking roller into the tyre.
6) After bead breaking and having lubricated the inner side, proceed by turning and moving the roller until the tyre comes completely out
of the rim (see Fig. S).
NB: During this operation, lower or raise the vertical carriage so as to follow the rim profile as far as possible with the roller.
If, during the final phase, you find it difficult to get the tyre out, raise the vertical carriage 3-4 cm in order to move the roller away from
the rim diameter.
7) Remove the tyre.
NB: If you have to replace or move a rim from the spindle that is wider than the centring rollers, there is an optional accessory, LBR Wide
rim platform, which will facilitate removal and subsequent mounting.
