Faults, Fault Detection and Troubleshooting
Fault
The sensor's meas‐
ured value is 0 ppm
and an error mes‐
sage appears on
the
measuring/control unit
.
The sensor's meas‐
ured value is
unstable.

Possible cause
Sensor connected to the measuring/
control unit with incorrect polarity.
Measuring line broken.
ClO
content below the lower meas‐
2
uring range limit.
Sensor faulty.
Measuring /control unit faulty.
Diaphragm damaged.
Air bubbles on the outside of the dia‐
phragm.
The cause lies with the measuring/
control unit.

Remedy
Connect sensor correctly to the
measuring /control device.
Replace measuring line.
Increase ClO
recalibrate and/or use a suitable
sensor.
Return sensor for regeneration.
Check the measuring/control unit
using a sensor simulator (DULCOM‐
ETER
1004042), repair if faulty.
Replace diaphragm cap; allow
sensor to run in and calibrate.
Remove air bubbles by tapping them
and increase flow rate if necessary.
Eliminate cause.
