g) Converting Videos to an AVI Format

The data blocks (video fi les) of the car camera are generated in a product-specifi c
format. These videos therefore can only be viewed with manufacturer software. The
button "AVI" permits converting individual videos to an AVI format and saving or
viewing them on your computer. Proceed as follows to convert:
Select a video fi le. Start the video by "double-clicking" and stop the selected video
again at once with the button "pause". Click the button "AVI". A window opens. Enter
a name for the new AVI fi le and indicate the storage location. Then click "Save". The
window closes and a new one opens. Select the desired options (conversion with
sound, etc.) from the menu. Now start the video.

To convert to an AVI-format, you require the matching codec on your
computer. If you do not have the correct codec installed, you will receive
an error message. In this case, activate the codec „Xvid-1.2.1-04122008"
on the SD-card (fi gure 15) by double-clicking and follow the instructions
on the screen.
Video conversion may cause the sound to no longer match the video.
This is due to several reasons and cannot be remedied.
Clicking the button "Pause" again will stop conversion. Conversion ends at the end
of the selected video fi le at the latest.

Conversion of video fi les to an AVI format is only possible for one camera
view (front or rear).
