b) "Regular Recordings" and "Event Recordings"
After successful initialisation, the LED "REC" fl ashes blue. This indicates "regu-
lar" recording. The recordings are stored in the folder "normal" in datasets of fi ve
minutes each.

If the G-sensors report an event during „regular" recording, this fi le is
completed after the end of the „event recording time" and a new dataset
(fi le) is started.
If many events are recorded during a „regular" recording, there may be
data loss in the dataset that is saved in the folder „normal". The corre-
sponding datasets (fi les) are displayed with an error message.
When the G-sensors record an event, the LED "REC" switches to red and remains lit
for as long as the software basic confi guration settings say (15 to 60 seconds). The
event is stored in the folder "Event". After the set time, the car camera will return to
"regular" recording. The LED "REC" will fl ash blue again.

In addition to the set recording time recorded for an event, the fi rst ten
seconds before the event are recorded and stored in the event dataset
as well.
c) Manual "Event Recordings"
The "Event recording button" (Shot - fi gure 2, item 11) permits manual recording of
an event. The function is identical to the events controlled by G-sensors. Pushing
the button will trigger an "event" recording. The recording duration is according to
the duration set in the basic confi gurations. The recording is stored in the folder
"event".

If the „Shot button" is kept depressed for more than 3 seconds, you
will switch on (message: Audio Recording on) or off (message: Audio
Recording off) audio recording no matter the basic confi guration.
