g) Display the "G-Sensors" (fi gure 11, item 7)
This shows the "G-sensor" recordings. The "Z"-axis shows all events where the
vehicle has run, e.g. through a pothole. The "Y"-axis shows all events where there
was an abrupt change of direction to the left or right. This includes transverse
acceleration at fast curves. The "X"-axis shows all events of impacts from the front
(vehicle bumped into something) or from the back (something has bumped into the
vehicle).
The time is displayed additionally below these displays. The fi rst fi gure is the con-
tinuous time from the data block, the second shows the total length of the data block.
In addition to the fi gures, a timeline is displayed. The red line shows the time before
the event, the blue line the time after the event.

h) Brightness (fi gure 11, item 8)
Clicking this infl uences playback brightness. Towards the left, the image darkens,
towards the right it brightens.
i) Speed (fi gure 11, item 9)
When displaying Speed, the speed at which the car went is displayed. This display
is, however, only possible if GPS reception was present throughout the recording.
The display can be switched from „km/h" to „mph". Observe one of the following
chapters.
