13. Notes on Operation

a) Taking the Device into Operation

Plug the cigarette lighter plug into a matching plug of your vehicle. With the supply
voltage applied, the car camera will immediately start initialisation by reading in of
the basic confi guration from the SD card. The display briefl y shows the home page
„Visiondrive ". The GPS LED is lit red. Once initialising has been successfully com-

pleted, the car camera greets you with an English welcome text: Welcome to Vision-
drive , your partner for secure driving. Have a good drive. Audio mode is on or off.

The greeting text and the confi rmation texts for the selected functions
are output in English by the car camera and cannot be switched to other
languages.
Never interrupt the voltage supply during initialisation because this may
cause damage to the software. If the motor of your vehicle does not start
up at the fi rst attempt and your car camera is still initialising, wait before
trying to start up again.
During operation, the SD card must never be removed because there
may be irreparable loss of data. Always wait for the car camera to com-
plete data fi nalising after disconnecting the car camera from the vehicle
power supply. Once data has been successfully stored, the GPS and
REC-LEDs go out. Now you may remove the SD-card.
Operation of the buttons at the device and viewing of the display contents
is only permitted when the vehicle is standing still. Otherwise, you would
endanger yourself and other traffi c participants.
