2. INTENDED USE

The 2-pole voltage tester is used to display direct and alternating voltages in the range of 6 to 1000V.
Direct and alternating voltages from 6 V to 1000 V, polarity, rotary field and continuity tests up to 2 kΩ
and FI/RCD tests can be performed. The voltage tester corresponds to the standard for two-pole voltage
testers (EN 61243-3) and protection type IP65 (jet water and dust protection) and may be used outdoors
or in moist conditions (also during precipitation). The VC-58 model has an audio-visual continuity tester,
backlighting, integrated LED measuring point illumination and the function of a "single-pole" phase
tester. Two micro batteries (type AAA) are required for operation. For rotary current grids, the tester is
equipped with a rotary field display. The voltage tester may be used in any system of overvoltage cate-
gory 4 (CAT IV = equipment).
The voltage tester must only be touched at the handles during measurements. The LC display must not
be covered and the metal contacts and measuring points must not be touched.

Operation under unfavourable ambient conditions is not permitted. Unfavourable ambient conditions are:
- dampness or high humidity
- dust and flammable gases, vapours or solvents.
- thunderstorms or similar conditions such as strong electrostatic fields, etc.
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and involves additional risks
such as, for example, short circuit, fire, electrical shock, etc.
No part of this product must be modified or rebuilt!
