3. SAFETY AND DANGER NOTES

Please read through the operating instructions completely before taking the device
into operation. They contain important information for correct operation.
The guarantee/warranty will expire if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance
with the operating instructions! We do not assume any liability for consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for property damage and personal injury caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases the war-
ranty/guarantee will expire.
This device left the manufacture's factory in safe and perfect condition.
To maintain this condition and to ensure safe operation, the user must observe the safety information
and warning notes in these operating instructions. Observe the following symbols:
An exclamation mark in a triangle shows important notes in these operating instructions that
must be strictly observed
The triangle containing a lightning symbol warns against danger of electrical shock or impair-
ment of the electrical safety of the device.
The arrow symbol indicates that special advice and notes on operation are provided.
This device is CE-compliant and meets the applicable national and international directives.
For safety and licensing reasons (CE), unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device is not
permitted.
Ensure proper commissioning of the device. Observe the operating instructions for it.
The voltage values indicated at the voltage tester are rated voltages.
The device must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibration or high moisture. Display is
only ensured in the temperature range of -10°C to +55°C and at a relative humidity of 20 to 96 %(climate
category N).
Touch the voltage tester only at the intended grip areas. Never reach over the tangible grip limitations.
Check the voltage tester for function before each measurement. Measure a known voltage source and
verify correctness of the display. In case of display outage or if nothing is displayed, the voltage tester
must no longer be used.
The voltage tester casing must not be disassembled, except for opening the battery compartment.
The voltage tester must only be used in systems with an indicated voltage range.
The threshold value applicable for direct contact voltage direct current (pursuant to DIN VDE 0100 part
410) is indicated by the flashlight LED.
The threshold value applicable for alternating contact voltage direct current (pursuant to DIN VDE 0100
part 410) is also indicated by the flashlight LED.
