3 Intended use
– Measuring and displaying electrical voltage in the range of overvoltage category Ill (up to max� 300V against earth
potential, pursuant to EN 61010-1) and all lower categories� The measuring device and equipment must not be
used in the overvoltage category CAT IV (e�g� at the low voltage installation source�)
– Displays direct and alternating voltage up to a maximum of 400 V
– Contact-free cable search in powered-down and live installations in the wall, floor or ground
– Tracing the signal through transmitter and receiver
– Finding cable breaks and short circuits
– Assigning and finding fuses and their circuits
– Finding and tracing metal pipes
– Contact-free tracing of live lines through the receiver
– Torch
The cable detector consists of a transmitter and a receiver� Both devices are operated with a common 9 V alkaline
battery block. The device may only be operated with the specified batteries.
You can use as many as 7 cable detectors (transmitter and receiver) at the same time� The search signal is selective
and can be encoded from 1 to 7�
For safety reasons, only use measuring cables or accessories which are adjusted to the specifications of the multi-
meter when measuring�
If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product may be damaged� Improper use can
result in short circuits, fires, electric shocks or other hazards.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements� For safety and approval purposes,
you must not rebuild and/or modify the product�
Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place� Make this product available to third parties
only together with the operating instructions�
