9. CONTINUITY TEST

Apply the test prods to the line, fuse, etc. to be tested. At an impedance of 0 - 2 kΩ , the impedance val-
ue is displayed and an acoustic signal sounds. If the measured value exceeds 2 kΩ , the display indi-
cates the overflow message "OL".
10. FI/RCD TRIGGER TEST , PE
(EARTH CONDUCTOR TEST)
The VC-58 has a load that enables triggering an FI/RCD protection switch by two buttons (FI\RCD). The
FI/RCD (max. 30 mA) is tested between the phase and protective earth (max. 240 V).

11. MEASURING POINT LIGHTING

The VC58 has a battery-operated measuring point lighting. For switching it on, keep button (7) pressed
for for approx. 2 s. To switch off the lighting, keep the same button pressed for for 2 s again.

12. BACKLIGHTING

When operated in low-light conditions, the BL sensor (backlight sensor) switches to automatic backlit
operation to ensure secure reading of the measured value even at total darkness.
