c) Inserting the Flight Batteries
The charged flight battery (1) is slid into the battery
holder (2) below the skid brackets. The battery con-
nection (3) must point backwards.
Slide the battery forwards until the plastics collar of the
battery is flush with the rear holder.
d) Switching the Helicopter on
Move the control stick for the pitch and tail functions
(also see figure 1, item 8) to the bottom position and
switch on the transmitter.
Then connect the polarity-reversal protected plug of
the helicopter connection cable (1) to the flight battery
at once.
Right then, the electronics in the model helicopter per-
form an alignment. During this, the red LED on the cen-
tral circuit board (2) will flash and the helicopter should
not be moved.
After approx. 5 seconds, the LED is permanently lit and
the two swash plate servos (3) on the right and left of
the central circuit board go into basic position. The
swash plate (4) then must be aligned horizontally (see
auxiliary line in the lower illustration of figure 8).
If the swash plate is tilted, use the trim or twist the link-
age rods to precisely adjust the swash plate. For more
information on this, see the following chapter "Model
Helicopter Start-Up", section h) "Trimming the Helicop-
ter" and chapter "Fine Tuning of the Helicopter".
Now your model helicopter is ready to start.
