Eliminating minor faults yourself

Before you call customer service:
Please check whether you can eliminate the fault yourself based on the following information.
Customer service will charge you for advice, even if the appliance is still under guarantee!

Possible cause
The bulb is defective.
Light switch A is sticking.
Appliance door opened frequently.
A lot of food was placed in the freezer.
The ventilation openings have been
covered.
The condensation outlet is blocked.
Temperature has been set too low.
If large quantities of fresh food are being
frozen, the temperature in the refrigerator
compartment drops temporarily, as the
refrigerating unit runs for a long time.
Remedial action
In some cases it is adequate to switch off
the appliance for 5 minutes.
If the temperature is too high wait a few
hours and check whether the temperature
has approached the set value.
If the temperature is too low check the
temperature again the next day.
Replace bulb:
1. Pull out the mains plug or disconnect
the fuse.
2. Remove bulb cover B towards the
rear.
3. Change the bulb; replacement bulb,
220 240 V a.c., E14 lampholder,
see defective bulb for wattage.
Check whether it can be moved.
Do not open the door unnecessarily.
Switch on Super cooling before placing
food in the freezer.
Remove obstacles.
Loosen frozen food with a blunt object.
Do not use a knife or pointed object.
You could damage the refrigerant tubing
or the plastic surface.
Defrosting the freezer compartment
(see Defrosting). Always ensure that
the freezer compartment door is closed
properly.
Freezer compartment door must "click"
shut.
Clean the condensation channel and
the outlet (see Cleaning the appliance).
Increase the temperature.
Do not exceed max. freezing capacity
(see Max. freezing capacity).
