Eliminating minor faults yourself
Before you call customer service:
Please check whether you can eliminate the fault yourself based on the following information.
Customer service will charge you for advice – even if the appliance is still under guarantee!
Fault
Temperature differs greatly
from the set value.
The temperature in
the refrigerator compartment
is too cold.
The refrigerating unit
is switching on more
frequently and for longer.
There is no cooling output
from the appliance.
The lighting does not work.
The display does not
illuminate.
The light does not function.
Temperature display flashes.
The "cool-fresh" compartment
is too warm or too cold.
Appliance is not cooling,
temperature display and light
are lit.

Possible cause
Temperature has been set too low.
Appliance opened frequently.
The ventilation openings have been
covered.
Appliance is switched off.
Power failure
The fuse has been switched off.
The mains plug has not been inserted
properly.
The LED light is defective.
Appliance was open too long.
Light is switched off after approx. 10
min.
Appliance opened frequently.
Too much food was placed in the
compartment.
The airing and ventilation openings are
blocked.
The standard setting has been set too
high or too low (e.g. if there is frost
in the "cool-fresh" compartment).
Showroom mode is switched on.
Remedial action
In some cases it is adequate to switch off
the appliance for 5 minutes.
If the temperature is too high wait a few hours
and check whether the temperature has approached
the set value.
If the temperature is too low check the temperature
again the next day.
Increase the temperature.
Do not open the appliance unnecessarily.
Remove obstacles.
Press the On/Off button ÿ .
Check whether the power is on.
Check mains fuse.
Check whether the mains plug is secure.
See chapter "Light (LED)" section.
When the appliance is closed and opened, the light
is on again.
Do not open the appliance unnecessarily.
Before placing food in the compartment, press the
Fast button Û .
Remove obstacles.
The temperature in the "cool-fresh" compartment
can be set to be 3 steps warmer and/or colder. If
the refrigerator compartment temperature is set to 0,
the "cool-fresh" compartment has a temperature
of almost 0 °C.
1. Hold down "fast" button Û for 3 seconds until
temperature display flashes.
2. Change the setting using the temperature
setting buttons +/-.
Setting -3 corresponds to the coldest setting
Setting +3 corresponds to the warmest setting
The selected setting is saved after one minute.
Start appliance self-test (see chapter "Appliance
self-test").
When the programme has ended, the appliance
switches over to normal operation.
