Observe before start-up
Have the appliance installed by trained
workers according to the setup
instructions.
Connect the appliance with hose sets as
good as new to the water supply.
Old hose sets may not be reused. Check
the hoses at regular intervals to replace
them on time and prevent water damages.
Make certain that transport safety devices
have been removed.
Only use the appliance if all removable
outside covers have been mounted and
consequently there is no access to
current-carrying or rotating machine parts.
The water used in washing and rinsing is
not drinking water! Route this wash
water into a sewage system designed for it.
Activate the temperature limit if you oper-
ate the washing machine at an altitude
higher than 2000 m above sea level to
avoid boiling (cf. service instructions or ask
the customer service and/ or retailer).
Observe when washing
Do not use any solvents intended for dry
cleaning. The washing machine is not
explosion-proof. Fire and explosion danger!
Rinse textiles, which contain detergents
containing solvents or inflammable chemi-
cals, in clear water by hand before washing.
Do not store or use any gasoline, petroleum
or otherwise easily inflammable materials
near the washing machine.
Softeners, dyes and decolorizers must be
expressly permitted for use in washing
machines (see the manufacturer's infor-
mation in the operating instructions).
Only add starch during the last rinse (refin-
ing); there is danger of explosion in all other
washing cycles!
Make certain before washing that no for-
eign objects (clips, coins, nails, etc.) are in
the drum or detergent before washing.
Be careful not to get fingers caught when
you close the loading door.
When you wash at high temperatures, hot
steam can escape from the vent connec-
tions at the back of the machine (danger
of burns).
Never open the loading door during a
washing cycle (danger of scalding or bodily
injury when the drum is rotating).
Never reach into a rotating drum.
The laundry can be very hot after an inter-
rupted washing programme. Let the laundry
cool before removing it (danger of burns).
Waterproof textiles (shower curtains, etc.),
hollow bodies made of textiles (e.g., shoes
and boots) as well as duvets, blankets
and cushions generate a great deal of
unbalanced weight during spinning. This can
result in reduced spinning or interruption of
spinning.
If a puddle forms on the floor near the
appliance (hose tear, leak, etc.), wipe it dry
and eliminate the cause; otherwise, there
is danger of slipping and falling (cf. the
«Malfunctions» chapter).
Do not place objects on the cover plate of
the machine. These can slip off and fall
onto the floor during spinning.
Store detergents, auxiliary washing agents
and additional substances at a dry, cool
spot, which children cannot access.
