Consumption values

The programme durations given are approximate values
which were determined under stan dard conditions.
Fluctuations of up to 10 % are possible.
Reduced mains connection
On machines with reduced mains connection, the
programme times will be extended accordingly.
Hot water supply
In the case of washing machines with a hot water
supply, the following points should be noted:
 The max. permissible hot water temperature is 70 °C.
 Only cold water is used for programmes for delicate
laundry (delicates, curtains, Wet-Clean, etc.) and washing
temperatures ≤ 30 °.
 At temperatures > 30 °C, cold and hot water are
mixed automatically until the programmed washing
temperature is reached. The programme length is
reduced due to the short heating-up time.
 In the case or textiles soiled with blood or proteins,
select a programme with pre-wash so that the stains
will be washed out below 30 °C to ensure that they can-
not become fixed to the fabric at higher temperatures
in the main washing cycle.
Heating variant «Direct steam» and «Indirect
steam»
 Heating up is faster than with electric heating.
 The programme length is reduced

Preparing the appliance

 Open the water stop-valve at the installation site.
 Switch on the main switch.
As soon as the programme last used is shown on the
display, the machine is ready to operate.

Opening the loading door

Press the button «Open door» to unlock the door.

Then open the door by pulling it.
The door cannot be opened as long as a washing pro-
gramme is running.
 At the programme end, the following message is
displayed: «PROGRAMME END / PLEASE OPEN DOOR».

Select additional functions

 Place the laundry loosely in the drum, small and large
pieces mixed together.
When you start the washing program, the loading door
is locked automatically. The programme can only be
started when the door lock has snapped shut.
 Press the loading door until you hear the lock snap
shut. Moisture the door sealing a bit if necessary to
simplify closing.
 Ensure that no items of laundry are trapped between
the door and the rubber seal.
 Selecting standard programmes
 Press the programme button of the desired
programme (cf. «Programme overview / standard pro-
grammes»).
 Selecting special programmes
 Press the programme button of the desired
programme group several times until the desired
programme is shown on the display (cf. «Programme
overview / special programmes»).
 Enter the programme number
All programmes, incl. standard and special programmes,
can be retrieved by entering the corresponding pro-
gramme number (cf. «Programme overview »).
 Enter the number using the number keys.
 Press desired function buttons (cf. chapter «Addi-
tional functions»).
