Other problems

Other minor faults, which you can rectify yourself.:
M ACHINE OPE RAT I ON
Display is dark
The display remains dark even after
pressing a button
The machine cannot be switched on
The machine does not start
Loading door cannot be opened
An external energy management system interrupted the washing process.
The drain valve remains closed, and the wash water is held back. The display of the
remaining time is also stopped during a mains block.
As soon as the washing process is released again by the management system,
the programme continues automatically.
Notice
A washing programme can be stopped using the mains blockage option by an
energy management system if it is in a hot phase during a consumption peak.
The mains blockage is not effective during disinfection programmes.
There is still too much water in the drum at the programme end.
The door remains locked until the water level falls below the safety level.
The emergency-off button was pressed.
 Acknowledge the error message by pressing the deletion button «C».
 To unlock the switch after the danger has been eliminated, turn it to the right.
 Select the interrupted programme again, add detergent if necessary and press
the start button.
A liquid detergent container is empty.
 Acknowledge the error message by pressing the deletion button «C».
 Fill in detergent.
 Press the start button.
No programme number is stored under the selected programme number.
 Select a valid programme number.
The programme was stopped by a signal of an external dosing system.
The machine is in programme module M01 «Detergent» until the washing process
is released by the external dosing system.
 Acknowledge the error message by pressing the deletion button «C».
 Press the start button, to restart the programme.
 Acknowledge the error message by pressing the deletion button «C».
 Interrupt the power supply for one minute (switch the main switch off and on
again). As soon as the display lights, the appliance is again ready to operate.
 Select the programme again, and press the start button.
 Note the error message.
 Close the water stop-valve, and switch off the main switch.
 Contact customer service.
The machine is in energy-saving mode. No error.
 Wake the appliance by pressing any button.
 Check whether the mains switch is switched on.
 Check whether all the fuses are intact or the safety switch has tripped.
 Press the start button.
If the additional function «Start time preselection» is selected, the programme
starts at the desired time.
 Wait until the message «PROGRAMME END / PLEASE OPEN DOOR» is displayed.
Additional function «Rinsing stop» was selected.

Power outage or defect appliance
 Open the loading door manually (cf. the next section).
