LEDs
The following LEDs are to be found on the top side of the housing and on the lateral RJ45 socket:
• Status: After switching on this LED firstly lights up red. When the router is ready for operation it changes to
green. If the device has detected a fault the LED is continuously red. An overload situation on one of the two
channels is displayed by a permanently red status LED and the switching on of the corresponding channel LED
for one second.
If the router has no valid IP address, the LED flashes red (or green if its status is already red due to another
condition).
• LON and LON IP: These LEDs stay off during the start-up phase of the router. The LEDs flicker if data is trans-
mitted via the specific channel during operation. If a channel is overloaded, the corresponding LED lights up red
for one second and the status LED is permanently red.
• Start / Reset: This LED lights up green during start-up of the router. Various signals are output with a factory
reset, as specified in chapter 6.4.
During operation this LED also signals connection to the configuration server: LED on = connection to the confi-
guration server exists.
• Ethernet: The RJ45 socket has a green and a yellow LED. The green LED lights up as soon as connection to an
IP network exists. The green LED flickers if data packets are transmitted. The yellow LED signals the connection
speed. If this LED is on, speed is 100 Mbit/s. Otherwise speed is 10 Mbit/s.

Push buttons

The device also has two push buttons:
• Service: Pressing this push button triggers the sending of service pin messages on both LON interfaces. The
LON and LON IP LEDs light up briefly in this case.
• Factory Reset: This push button resets the device to the factory settings. See chapter 6.4 for details.
The DIL switch is used to switch a topology-dependent bus connection for the connected LON/FT segment:
• Free / Bus: With the right switch of the block you specify whether a termination for a „Free" topology (approx.
50 ohms) or for a „Bus" line topology (approx. 105 ohms) should be switched.
• 0/1: The termination itself is switched off „0" and on „1" by activating both left switches.
Always activate both left termination switches together, i.e. these must always both be set to either 1 or 0
but never with opposite settings.

2.6 Important information

Intended use of the CG-S / IP Router+ 1P is the „tunneling" of datas in a CG-S bus through an IP-network.
For power supply of the Router+ only use power supply units with SELV des-ignation and a connection cable with
length of max. 1.5 m.
As standard, the router is supplied with the preset, permanent IP address 192.168.1.250. Ensure that this address
has not been assigned to another device in your network in order to avoid collisions.
A user with name „admin" and password „ceag" has been factory set for access to setting options of the router via
the web interface. Please modify the password immediately following initial start-up.
