14.3 Alarm Zones (Bypass Zones)

As previously described, the alarm system can sound the alarm in two different ways. The first is alarm
sounding via beep tone and the second option is alarm sounding using the internal siren. In the armed
status the alarm system provides an entry/exit delay or a direct sounding of the alarm via the internal
siren, depending on the setting.
What should you do if you have a sensor which should „not" raise the alarm when the system is armed?
E.g. sensors which operate in external areas (increased risk of false alarm).
In such a case there is the possibility to specify zones which are only to react when the alarm is
disarmed.
These zones are referred to as „bypass zones".
This setting is deactivated in the factory settings.
To set this function, please proceed as follows:
Step Action
1 Press „PROG" (12).
2 Enter the four digit master code
3 Press button 8
4 Deactivate zone as „bypass zone":
Press the button 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5
(depending on which zone you
wish to deactivate as a
„bypass zone").
5 Activate zone as „bypass zone":
Press the button 6, 7, 8, 9 or 0
(depending on which zone you
wish to activate as a „bypass zone").
6 Press „PROG" (12).

You enter the programming
mode.

The settings are saved and the
programming mode for setting
the „bypass zone" is exited.
Note
3 x a short beep confirms entry of
the correct code. 1 x long beep
indicates incorrect code entry.
As soon as you enter the
programming mode, the „zone
status LEDs" (1) light up or flash.
Flashing = the function for this
zone is deactivated, lit
continuously = the function for this
zone is activated.
