b) Installation and connection of the alarm control centre
Once you have found a suitable installation location, you can begin the process of installation and
connection of the alarm control centre. To do so, proceed as described in the following:
• Remove both screws securing the rechargeable
battery cover at the back of the housing.
• This alarm system has the capacity to give or repeat
spoken commands/announcements (e.g. during
programming or when calling using the internal alarm
dialler).
• Use the „Language Selector Switch" (18) to select the
desired language.
Switch positions:
The language can only be changed if the batteries are removed and the power sup-
ply unit is disconnected. Disconnect the system from main supply and battery, set
the selector switch to the desired language and start the system.
• Connect the plug-in 12 V/DC power supply provided
to the alarm system. The connection socket is below
the battery compartment (as shown on the right in the
figure).
• Take the 6 V/DC NIMH rechargeable battery pack
and connect it with the connection cable which is
stored in the battery compartment.
• Place the rechargeable battery pack in the battery
compartment.
