6.2 Remote diagnostic system (FDS)
The remote diagnostic system (Fern Diagnose System - FDS)
was developed to enable access to the heat pump manager via
PC. In combination with an "Internet-compatible" PC and the
separately available hardware packages, the software enables
the user settings to be read out and changed as required. The
software is programmed to allow a constant exchange of data
between the heat pump manager and the PC. Changes are
possible both at the heat pump manager and in the program.
The software is started via an Internet browser on the PC and
has been optimized for the Windows 2000 and XP operating
systems.
6.3 Room climate station
With cooling using panel heating/cooling systems, regulation is
carried out according to the room temperature and air humidity
measured by the room climate station.
The desired room temperature is set on the heat pump manager.
The minimum possible cooling water temperature is calculated
from the room temperature and air humidity measured in the
reference room. The control response of the cooling system is
influenced by the currently measured room temperature and the
set room set temperature.

6.4 Building management system

The heat pump manager can be connected to a building
management system network via supplementation of the
relevant interface plug-in card. The supplementary installation
instructions of the interface card must be consulted regarding the
exact connection and parameterisation of the interface. 
The following networkconnections are possible with the heat
pump manager:
Modbus
EIB, KNX
Ethernet

6.5 Thermal energy meter

A maximum of 1 thermal energy meters can be connected to the
heat pump manager for thermal energy measurement. Available
thermal energy meters are the WMZ25 and the WMZ32. The
6.6 Pump module CB 4-1.8
ATTENTION!
The pump module CB 4-1.8 must be connected with the heat pump
manager via connector strip X16. The connecting cable is supplied with
the pump module
The pump module (including motor circuit breaker) acts as a
prefabricated solution for connecting circulating pumps, which
are suitable for three-phase currents, to the heat pump manager.
It is designed for simple integration of the heat circulating pump
(M13), the domestic hot water circulating pump (M18), the
auxiliary circulating pump (M16) and the cooling circulating pump
(M17). The pump module can be connected to the heat pump
manager via an accompanying interface cable (length approx.
0.5m).
EN-8
Two versions are available:
Remote diagnostics on-site (e.g. with a laptop): Local
Diagnostic System (LDS). Direct connection of the PC cable
via the LDS hardware package to the heat pump manager
(WPM).
Remote diagnostics via a modem connection: Remote
Diagnostic System (RDS). RDS is a useful tool for checking
the operation of a remotely located plant and for adjusting
the user settings on the heat pump manager.

ATTENTION!
If the heat pump or circulating pumps are controlled externally, an
additional flow rate switch is required to prevent the compressor from
being switched on when there is no volume flow.
supplementary installation instructions of the thermal energy
meter must be consulted regarding its installation and
parameterisation.
