4.2 Temperature sensor (heating controller N1)
Depending on the heat pump type used, the following
temperature sensors are already installed or must be additionally
mounted:
 Outside temperature (R1) (see Chap. 4.2.3 on p. 3)
 Temperature 1st, 2nd and 3rd heating circuit (R2, R5 and
R13) (see Chap. 4.2.4 on p. 4)

4.2.1 Heating controller with removable control panel
All temperature sensors to be connected to the heating controller
with removable control panel must correspond to the sensor
characteristic curve shown in Fig. 4.2 on p. 3. The only exception
is the outside temperature sensor included in the scope of supply
of the heat pump (see Chap. 4.2.3 on p. 3)

4.2.2 Temperature sensor (cooling controller N17)
All temperature sensors to be connected to the supplementary
cooling controllers have the illustrated sensor characteristic
curve (see Fig. 4.2 on p. 3). (e.g. room temperature sensor for
room climate station)
4.2.3 Mounting the outside temperature sensor
The temperature sensor must be mounted in such a way that all
weather conditions are taken into consideration and the
measured value is not falsified.
Installation:
 Mount on the external wall on the north or north-west side
where possible
 Do not install in a "sheltered position" (e.g. in a wall niche or
under a balcony)
 Not in the vicinity of windows, doors, exhaust air vents,
external lighting or heat pumps
 Not to be exposed to direct sunlight at any time of year

Flow temperature (R9), as a frost protection sensor in the

case of air-to-water heat pumps
 Outlet temperature of the heat source in the case of brine-to-
water and water-to-water heat pumps
 Domestic hot water temperature (R3)
 Temperature of renewable heat accumulator (R13)
