1 Important Information
During commissioning, observe the respective national
safety
regulations
and
regulations, particularly VDE 0100, as well as the technical
connection requirements of the utility companies (EVU) and
network operators!
The heat pump manager should only be operated in dry
rooms with temperatures ranging between 0 °C and 35 °C.
Ensure that no condensation forms on the device.
All sensor connecting cables with a conductor cross-section
of 0.75 mm² can be extended to a maximum of 40 m. Sensor
leads should not be installed next to power cables.
2 Scope of supply heat pump manager for heating and cooling
The scope of supply of the wall-mounted heat pump manager
includes:
Heat pump manager with casing
Dowels (6 mm) with screws for wall mounting
Outside temperature sensor
Operator's manual and operating instructions for users
Installation and commissioning instructions for technicians
3 General
With a reversible heat pump, the heat pump manager controls
both the heating and cooling operation ("Active cooling"). The
heating in controlled by the heat pump manager N1. Cooling is
controlled with two extension modules (N17) with different
network addresses. The extension modules N17.1 and N17.2
are shown in the operating data when the network connection is
active.
4 Installation
4.1 Attaching the wall-mounted heat pump manager heating/cooling
The controller is attached to the wall with the screws and dowels
(6 mm) included in the scope of supply. The following installation
procedure must be followed to avoid soiling or damaging the
controller:
Mount the dowels for the upper fastening eyelets at operator
level (for distance, see Fig. 2 on p. III)
Screw the screw into the dowel so that the controller can be
mounted.
Mount the controller by the upper fastening eyelets.
Mark the position of the side drill-holes.
Unhook the controller.
Mount the dowels for the side drill-holes.
Remount the controller at the top and tighten the screws.

To ensure that the frost protection function of the heat pump
works properly, the heat pump controller must remain
connected to the power supply and the flow must be
maintained through the heat pump at all times.
The switching contacts of the output relay are interference-
suppressed.
Therefore,
resistance of the measuring instrument, a voltage can also
be measured when the contacts are open. However, this will
be much lower than the line voltage.
Terminals J1 to J11, J20 and J23, and the terminal strip X3
of the N1 heating controller are connected to a low voltage
supply. If, due to a wiring error, the line voltage is mistakenly
connected to these terminals, the heat pump manager will
be destroyed.
