Controllo prima
della messa in
moto
Controllare
che:
•
nel serbatoio vi sia sufficiente quantita di
carburante;
•
l'ollo nella coppa
del
basamento sia a giusto
liveIlo;
•
la chiave sul commutatore
di accensione
sia in
posizione
«ON»
(vedere
fig. 3);
•
le seguenti spie siano
illuminate:
-
rosse:
insufficiente pressione
olio,
insufficiente ten-
sione
generatore;
-
verde:
indicatore cambio in folie «NEUTRAL»;
•
la levetta comando
«CHOKE»
a
motore freddo
sia
in posizione di avviamento
(<<1»di
fig.
4).
Avviamento a motore freddo
Dopo
i
suddetti controlli, girare (verso il pilota) la mano-
pola comando gas a 1/4 di
apertura,
tirare a fonde la
leva della frizione e premere
il
pulsante avviamento
«START»
(<<C»di
fig.
5).
Avviato il
motore,
prima di riportare la levetta comando
«starter»
in posizione di marcia (<<2»di
fig.
4).
lasciare
girare iI motore
a
vuoto e
a
basso regime per qualche
secondo nella stagione calda e qualche minuto nella
stagione fredda.
Se durante
la
marcia,
la levetta comando
«starter»
dovesse
rimanere
in posizione
di
avviamento
«(1»
di fig.
4),
si avrebbero
difetti
di carburazione
con
notevole
aumento
di
consumo
di carburante
e,
nei
casi peggiori
si correrebbe
iI rischio
di
grippare
a

Preliminary
checks
Check:
•
that there is sufficient
fuel
in the
tank;
•
that the engine oil level in
correct;
•
the ignition key is in position
«ON»
(see
fig. 3);
•
that the folIowing warning lights are
on;
-
red
warning lights: oil pressure and
generator;
-
green
warning
light:
«NEUTRAL»
indicator;
•
that the
«CHOKE»
control is in the starting position
(if the
engine
is cold) (<<1

Cold starting
Af ter making the above
checks,
turn the throttle twist
grip (towards the rider) to 1/4
open,
engage the clutch
and press the START button (<<C»in
fig.
5).
Once the engine has
started,
and before putting the
«STARTER»
lever back to its normal running position
(<<2»in fig.
4).
allow the engine to idle for a few seconds
in summer ar
a
few minutes in
winter.
Ifthe
«STARTER»
is left in the starting
position
«(h
in
fig.
4) when the motorcycle
is
running,
this
will
cause
carburation
problems,
with a considerable
increase
in fuel consumption
and,
at
worst,
the risk
of seizure due to the removal of the
cylinder
wall oil
film by the excess
fuel.
