Segmented data transmission
with "CANcom-Data-PDO" and "Master-Data-PDO"
The segmented data transmission allows the transmission of 7-byte long data
segments (data messages). These data is transmitted in blocks of maximum 7
bytes, the remote station acknowledges the reception.
The transmission block consists of a start message and the number of data mes-
sages. The start message describes the number of the bytes to be transmitted in
the following data messages as well as the source or target of these data.
The acknowledgement contains the number of the user data received by the
receiver. The transmitter checks this with the number of the messages sent. In
case of a disparity the data transmission is aborted. A time monitoring has also
been implemented on the receiver and transmitter side which aborts the data
transmission if there has been no communication for 2 s.
