Starting up

Burner setting

Starting up the burner:
Pre-start checks
· Electricity supply OK
· Boiler switch operational
The burner is equipped with two
suitable nozzles and factory pre-set,
and can be brought into use with no
problem. An initial combustion test
must be performed by a specialist. The
emission profile should comprise soot
between 0 and 1, CO between 12 and
2
13%.

When operating the burner in stage
1, check flue gas temperature to
ensure that it does not fall below
dew-point.

Setting the oil pump
· Blow out pump and oil pipe (1)
· Assemble manometer (2) and
vacuum gauge (3)
· Pump operating pressure for stages
1 and 2 is adjusted by regulating
screw (4).
· Pressures for stages 1 and 2 are
both read off the same manometer
(2).
Suction side air flow control
The air flap setting for stage 1 can be
adjusted with setting screw S on the
cam III, and for stage 2 with setting
hole S on the cam I.
Stage 2 combustion values are
optimized by regulating pressure side
air speed. This must not be altered
from the initial setting. Subsequent
regulation for stage 1 can only be
effected by adjusting setting screw on
the cam III of the servomotor.
When operating the burner in stage 1,
check flue gas temperature to ensure
that it does not fall below dew-point.
Pressure side air speed is adjusted by
turning adjust knob (12).
