Adjusting the burner head
The preliminary head setting data will
shorten and facilitate burner
adjustment.
On starting up, the burner must be
adjusted exactly in accordance with the
combustion yield data. Setting
recommendations assume furnace
pressure of ± 0 mbar.
Check setting values
The setting values shown above must
be carefully checked in every case.
Corrections may be necessary as a
function of the installation.
Recommended nozzles
Favourable combustion values will only
be achieved if the nozzles shown
(DIN 4790) are used:
Nozzle-type Stage 1
Danfoss S 60°
Danfoss B 45°
Steinen S/SS 60°
Nozzle size and the corresponding
pump pressure can be read off the
table above.

Air flap setting
Air flap setting is regulated by an
electric servomotor. The values shown
in the table above can be set or
reproduced on the corresponding setting
screws.
Cam I (pos.3) : Air flap setting stage 2
Cam II (Pos.1) : Air flap setting when
burner is not operating
(air shut off)
Cam III (Pos.2): Air flap setting stage 1
Cam IV (Pos.4): Switch-on point for
solenoid valve stage 2
Head setting
The burner head is advanced in the
blast tube by turning the regulator knob.
The measurements given in the table
above can be read off or measured
from the scale.
Ignition electrode setting
The ignition electrodes are pre-set in
the factory.
· Check the gaps given in the sketch
opposite.
· Make sure that the ignition spark
does not jump to the nozzle or
turbulator and that it reaches the oil
spray orifice as it should.
