Starting up
Pre-startup check
Operation: sequence of events
Checks before starting up
Before starting up, check the following
points on the installation:
heating circuit water pressure
–
operation of the circulating pump
–
operation of draught stabilizer on flue
–
constant power supply (230 V) to
–
boiler control panel
oil level in tank
–
oil pipe connections (inflow, return
–
and tightness)
opening of inflow oil valves
–
burner head setting (see table of
–
settings)
ignition electrode adjustment
–
setting of thermostats
–

Sequence of events
The installation is switched on:
regulation circuit closes
–
motor starts
–
ignition is brought into operation and
–
furnace pre-ventilated
During pre-ventilation, the solenoid
valve remains closed (no voltage).
At the end of the pre-ventilation time:
the valve opens and
–
the flame is ignited.
–
The amount of air supplied for
combustion is regulated as a function of
oil flow rate. Should the regulation
circuit open, the burner shuts off.
08/2005 - Art. Nr. 13 018 076A
Premature flame signal
During the preventilation or preignition
time, no flame signal must be present.
Should the signal occur during this
period, the control and safety unit
triggers a default shut-off after
completion of preventilation time and
safety time. During the safety time, oil
supply is inhibited.
Flame fails to ignite
Should no flame be present at the end of
the safety time, a default shut-off is
immediately triggered. Fault clearance
cannot occur for at least 30 seconds.
Extinction of flame during operation
If the flame should fail during operation,
the fuel supply is cut off immediately
and a new start-up operation is
attempted in accordance with the
operating procedure.
