Warning! Not adhering to the following instructions can lead to deposits in the carburetor
and cause permanent damage.
•
Carry out all maintenance recommendations listed in the chapter on "Care and
maintenance" of the operating manual.
•
Clean the outside of the motor, the pole tube, the protective cover, and the string
head.
•
Drain the fuel from the tank.
•
Start the motor after the fuel is drained.
•
Let the motor idle until it stops. This will clean the carburetor of any fuel.
•
Let the motor cool off (approx. 5 minutes).
•
Remove the spark plug using a spark plug wrench.
•
Fill a little clean two-stroke motor oil into the combustion chamber. Pull the starter
cable slowly several times to distribute the oil. Reinsert the spark plug.
•
Store the device in a cool and dry location, far away from sources of ignitions such as
oil burners, water heaters etc.
Placing the device back in operation
•
Remove the spark plug and quickly pull the starter cord to remove any remaining oil
in the combustion chamber.
•
Clean the spark plug or exchange it if necessary.
•
Prepare the device for operation and fill the tank with the proper fuel-oil mixture
(40:1).
Repairs
In case of any other problems occurring with the device, have it checked and repaired
only by an authorised professional or professional service shop.
