• Push the gas lever (11) and then the gas lever lock (10).
• At the same time, briefly pull the starter handle (13) several times, so that the motor
is supplied with a fuel/air mixture.
• Slide the choke lever (15) to the "Half" position.
• Pull the starter handle (13) on full throttle until the motor is running.
• Let the motor warm up for approx. 10 seconds. Briefly push the gas lever (11), the
motor runs on idle.
• Slide the choke lever (15) to the "Operation" position.
• If the motor doesn't start, repeat steps 2-10.
Attention! If the motor doesn't start during the second attempt, try to start it without
the choke. If this doesn't work, then the motor is "flooded". Follow the directions in the
chapter on maintenance and cleaning re. "Motor doesn't start".
Starting the motor (warm)
A warm motor is started without choke. The procedure is the same as when starting a
cold motor, though in the „Half" starting phase.
Switching off the motor
• Let go of the gas lever (11).
• Switch off the ignition by pushing the On/Off-switch (9) to "Off".
Check idling (GB 1/44-23 MS)
The cutting tool must stand still during idling once the operator has let go of the gas lever.
Attention! After switching off the device, the cutting head will continue to rotate for a
few seconds.
General operating directions
• Always trim and cut using the higher rotational speeds.
• Keep the cutting tools away from all body parts, primarily hands and feet, when you
switch on the motor and while the motor is running.
• Remove all mowing remains and debris from the protective cover, the cutting head
and the cutting mechanism on a regular basis. The motor must be switched off for
this.
Mowing at an angle
By turning the lower pole tube, you can also mow at an angle of 0°, 90° to the left and
90° to the right.
• Loosen the fixing screw (6) on the pole tube, push the lock lever (5) down and turn
the pole tube into the desired position.
• Lock the lower pole tube in the desired borehole with the lock lever (5). Tighten the
fixing screw (6)
