Working with the string spool
Attention! Only use original cutting tools. The use of a metal wire instead of the plastic
wire is prohibited.
While working, always keep the cutting head just above the ground and slowly sway the
device back and forth. Do not hold the cutting head at an angle and do not lift it off the
ground.
• Cut long grass in layers from top to bottom.
• To cut around trees, fence posts or other obstacles, slowly walk around the obstacle
with the device and cut with the tip of the line.
• Avoid contact with firm obstacles (rocks, walls, picket fences etc.). The string would
wear off very quickly.
Extending the cutting string
Your device is equipped with a double string automatic mechanism, which means that
the two strings will extend if you tap the cutting head on the ground. If the strings are
initially longer than the specified cutting radius, then they are automatically shortened
to the correct length by the blade of the string cutter.
Attention! Remove any bits of grass from the string cutter on a regular basis so that the
cutting effect is not impaired.
If the cutting performance declines:
Start the motor and hold the device over a grassy area. Tap the cutting head on the
ground. The string is extended automatically.
If the ends of the string can not be extended:
• Switch off the device.
• Push the spool insert until it engages and then pull firmly on the end of the string.
If no string ends can be seen:
• Replace the string spool.
Working with the metal cutting blade
Attention! While working, always wear the shoulder belt and suitable protective clothing.
Ensure that the cutting blade is installed properly. Exchange damaged or dull tools. There is
a risk of injury.
• Only use the metal cutting blade on free, level areas. Carefully check the area to be
cut and remove any foreign objects. Avoid running into stones, metal or other obstacles.
The metal cutting disk could be damaged, which could cause the device to kick back.
While working, always keep the cutting head close to the ground and sway the device
back and forth in an even arc like a scythe.
• Do not hold the cutting head at an angle and do not lift it off the ground.
