Warning! When using power tools, certain basic safety measures should always be
taken. Please also note all tips and directions in the additional safety directions.
Attention: When using gardening devices, always note the basic safety features in order
to avoid fire hazards and serious injury. Read and follow all instructions.
Danger: Never use the electric trimmer with cutting blades, wire or sledges. This device has
been exclusively designed as a string trimmer. The use of other accessories or additional
parts will increase the risk of injury.
Attention: Both the string mowing head as well as the cutting blade can kick up objects
with pressure. You and other persons can incur serious injury. Always wear safety
goggles and leg protectors. Ensure that no body parts come into contact with the
rotating trimmer string/cutting blade. Ensure that children, persons in the immediate
vicinity and animals maintain a safety distance of at least 15 meters. Otherwise stop the
device immediately. In case of hazardous situations that are not covered in this operating
manual, proceed with special caution and according to best judgement. If you need help,
please contact your specialist dealer.
1. Pay attention to the environmental conditions that you are working in.
The machine will emit toxic fumes as soon as the engine is running. These fumes can
be odourless and invisible. This is why you may never start the device in closed or
badly ventilated rooms. During work, make sure the area is sufficiently lit. In case of
wetness, snow, ice, and on slopes or uneven ground, always make sure you maintain
a secure stance.
2. Don't let strangers handle the machine.
Visitors and onlookers, especially children as well as frail or sickly persons, should be
kept away from the working area. Avoid other persons coming into contact with the
tool.
3. Ensure that the tools are stored safely.
Tools that are not being used need to be stored in a dry and if possible high place or
stored so as to be inaccessible.
4. Always use the right tool for every job.
For example, don't use small tools or accessories for jobs that should be done with
heavy tools. Use the tools only for their intended use.
