Do not use the device to cut rank growth, scrubs or undergrowth.
•
Check the metal cutting blade regularly for damages and replace damaged cutting
blades.
Care and maintenance
ATTENTION! Any repair tasks and maintenance work not described in these instructions
must be carried out in a specialist workshop. Only use original spare parts. Generally,
only carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks with the motor switched off and the
ignition disconnected. Risk of injury! Let the machine cool off before all maintenance and
cleaning tasks. Elements of the motor are hot. There is a burn hazard!

This tool meets the relevant safety requirements. Repairs, service and maintenance
must only be carried out by an authorised service workshop / specialist.
•
Only original parts may be used for repairs, otherwise there is a risk of accidents for
the operator.
Changing the trimmer string
•
Remove the lid of the cartridge.
•
Replace the string spool with a new spool.
•
Put the lid back in place.
Changing the metal cutting blade
•
Using the combination spanner (d), unscrew the screw nut (c) in a clockwise direction.
•
Remove the flange (b).
•
Remove the metal cutting blade (2).
•
Place the new cutting blade on the rider plate. Make sure that the cutting blade is
engaged and is positioned level and centred.
•
Place the flange (b) on the cutting blade with the flat surface.
•
Using the combination spanner (d), tighten the screw nut (c) in a counter-clockwise
direction.
Cleaning the device
Clean and service your device on a regular basis. This will ensure its performance as well
as long service life.
•
After every cutting session, clean any grass and dirt off the cutting mechanism and
the protective cover.
•
Clean the device with a soft brush or a cloth.
•
The device may not be sprayed with water nor placed in water.
•
Do not use solvents or cleaning products. This can damage the device. Chemical sub-
stances can corrode the plastic parts of the device.
