Troubleshooting guide

Problem
The product does
not start when
the on/off switch is
pushed.
The saw blade does
not move when
the motor is on.
The saw blade does
not cut straight.
The saw blade does
not cut or cuts very
slowly.
Sawdust and dust
build up inside
the product.
The product does
not cut at angles of
45° or 90°.
Possible cause
No power supply to the wall socket.
Faulty switch.
One of the covers is open.
The blade tension is loose.
The blade has come off one of
the pulley wheels.
The saw blade has broken.
The drive belt has broken.
The cut was done freehand.
Feed speed too high.
The guide fence is not in line with
the saw blade.
The saw blade is not suitable for
the piece being worked on.
The saw blade is damaged or blunt.
The saw blade is too loose.
The blade guides are not set correctly. Adjust the blade guides.
The saw blade is blunt.
Blade fitted upside down.
This is completely normal.
The table is not correctly set in relation
to the blade.
The mitre guide displays incorrectly.
Blunt blade or too high a feed rate.

Solution
Check fuses and cables.
Close the cover.
Turn off the motor and adjust
the tension.
Open the covers and check.
Replace the saw blade.
Change drive belt.
Use a fence to guide the work-
piece.
Do not press too hard.
Adjust the guide fence.
Change the blade (6 TPI* for
wood and soft materials, 14 TPI*
for hard materials).
*TPI= teeth per inch.
Replace the saw blade.
Adjust the blade tension.
Change the blade (6 TPI* for
wood and soft materials, 14 TPI*
for hard materials).

Fit the blade correctly.
Clean the product regularly
using a brush and dust
extractor.
Adjust the table.
Adjust the pointer on
