10. Operation

Only take the device into operation after familiarising yourself with its functions and these
operating instructions.
Check all the connections again. When you have done so, reconnect the negative pole of the car
battery.
a) General Operation
Button / POWER/MUTE (1)
This button switches the radio on and off and activates muting.
Push briefly with the device switched off > device is switched on.
Push briefly with the device switched on > muting is switched on or off
Keep pushed with the device switched on > device is switched off
To switch the car radio on, you can also push any other button on the device.
Dial switch VOLUME / VOL+/VOL- key (3)
In standard operation, the VOLUME control is for setting the volume.
In connection with button SEL (2), different audio settings can be made with this dial switch:
Press the SEL button (2) once or several times to change the parameters BAS (bass control),
TRE (treble control), BAL (balance control) and FAD (fader control) by turning the VOLUME dial switch (3).
The installed speakers are switched in parallel with the front speaker connections. Please
observe this in the fader settings (volume distribution front/rear).
Display (10)
The display (10) shows all the information, depending on the audio source that is being played (radio,
SD-player etc.).
MD / MODE button (5)
With this you can select various audio sources.
Briefly push this button to switch to the next source:
TUNER > USB > CARD > AUX
When one of the sources is not active, i.e. no medium inserted, this source will be skipped in the
selection.
