10. Operation

Only take the device into operation after familiarising yourself with its functions and these operat-
ing instructions.
Check all the connections again. When you have done so, reconnect the negative pole of the car
battery.
a) General Operation
PWR button (3)
• This button switches the radio on and off.
To switch the device on, you can also push the rotary control (10).
Rotary control (10)
• Turning this switch adjusts the volume.
• Brief or long pushing of this switch permits additional menu settings.
• Briefly push rotary control (10):
VOL > BAS > TRE > BAL > FAD > LOUD > EQ > BEEP > STEREO/MONO > LOC/DX
• Pushing the rotary control (10) long:
EUROPE/USA > TA SEEK/ALARM > MASK DPI/ALL > RETUNE S/L > TAVOL
• These settings are explained in more detail later in these instructions under "Menu Settings".
Display (4)
• The display (4) shows all the information, depending on the audio source that is being played (radio, SD-player
etc.).
MOD / MUT Button (2)
• This button selects the different audio sources and activates the mute function (muting).
• Briefly push the button MOD / MUT (2) to switch to the next source:
RADIO > DISC > USB > SD > AUX
When one of the sources is not active, i.e. no medium inserted, this source will be skipped in the selection.
• Push the button MOD / MUT (2) for a longer time to activate the mute function. The display (4) shows MUTE. To
deactivate the mute function, push the MOD / MUT (2) again, but only briefly.
