AVOL
Set the activation volume of the device here by turning the VOLUME (3) dial.
STEREO/MONO
STEREO: Radio reception takes place in stereo.
MONO: Radio reception takes place in mono.
At bad reception conditions, it may be beneficial to switch radio reception to mono. Radio recep-
tion in mono mode is less subject to interference.
LOUD ON/OFF
LOUD ON: The loudness function is active.
LOUD OFF: The loudness function is inactive. The sound is not influenced.
At low volumes the human ear does not perceive very low and very high sounds well. An incre-
ase of the frequency range for low volume (loudness correction) counteracts this effect and the
music replay sounds more natural.
SPK ON/OFF
SPK ON: The installed speakers are activated.
SPK OFF: The installed speakers are deactivated.
If speakers for the front are connected to the speaker outputs, the integrated speakers in the
radio can be switched off with this function.
DX/LOCAL
DX: All stations are received.
LOCAL: Only stations with a very good field strength are received.
In areas with a great many transmitter stations and good radio reception, it may be sensible to
set the option LOCAL. This skips weak stations that can only be received with interferences in the
station scan.
CT time setting
Turn the VOLUME dial (3) clockwise to set the minutes for the time display.
Turn the VOLUME dial (3) counter-clockwise to set the hours for the time display.
When an RDS transmitter is received, the time display automatically adjusts to the correct time.
