e) Inserting / Replacing the Remote Control Battery
Observe correct polarity when inserting the battery.
Do not leave any batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of batteries being swallowed by
children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries may cause alkali burns if they come in contact with the skin. It is
therefore advisable to use suitable protective gloves.
Do not short-circuit the battery and do not throw it into fire. It also must not be recharged. There
is a danger of explosion.
Remove the battery when the device is not in use for extended periods of time.
At initial commissioning, the battery of the remote control is protected from discharge by an
isolation film. Remove this film before use by pulling it out of the remote control's battery com-
partment.
• Unlock the safety lever and pull the battery holder out at the rear of the remote control.
• Insert a new 3 V lithium button cell battery CR2025 in the correct polarity. The positive pole of the battery
must point up.
• Close the battery compartment again. The latching tab must latch audibly.
• If the remote control no longer functions properly, the battery is discharged and must be replaced with a
new one of the same type.
• Battery change takes place as described above.
• Replace the discharged battery with a new battery of the same type.
