2.11.1. Electrolytes and their Applications
A-8 Iron, Stainless Steel, Nickel, Cobalt, Zirconium. All-round
electrolyte.
D-2 Copper, Copper-Alloys, Brasses.
2.11.2. Deterioration of Electrolytes
The two components are normally supplied separately so that they may be
mixed directly before use. In mixed state the electrolytes have a working life
of 3 months or perhaps a little more. It should be noted, however, that the
use of the electrolyte is the most important cause of deterioration. The
electrolytes must be replaced when they contain an excessive amount of
metal ions.
