1. Ensure that the work area and machine are set up correctly and no
unauthorized personnel are in the work area.
2. Pull the cable out of the drum and extend it into the pipe as far as you
can. Make sure at least 1 foot of cable is in the pipe.
This will prevent the wire rope from being thrown out of the pipe after
startup and causing whiplash injuries.
3. Correct operating posture:
• The foot switch should be operable and can be removed quickly. Do not
depress the foot completely.
• Make sure you maintain good balance.
• At least one hand should be able to manipulate the cable and feel its
movement.
• Can control CW /OFF/ CCW switch.
