EN FULL MASKS GALAXY M9200 - ROTOR GALAXY: RESPIRATORY FULL FACE MASK - ROTOR® ADJUSTMENT M9300 - STRAP
GALAXY: RESPIRATORY FULL FACE MASK - STRAP ADJUSTMENT
Use instructions: They are robust and offer considerable resistance to radiant heat and flames. These masks are fitted with a standard threaded
joint. They must be used with respiratory devices fitted with a male joint compliant with standard EN148-1 (standard threaded joint): Examples:
anti-gas filters, filters against solid and liquid particles, combined filters to standard EN14387 (anti-gas filters and combined filters). We
recommend using DELTAPLUS® cartridges M8000&M9000 series available in A2, ABEK2, ABEK2P3, A2P3 and P3 (see the specific user
manuals for these devices). For more information see the standard EN529: Guide to the selection, use, cleaning and maintenance and protection
factors./
Masks in the GALAXY series, are comprised of: a full outer mask of molded silicon, covering the eyes, nose, mouth and chin / a panoramic
injected polycarbonate visor / an inner ½ mask of molded silicon, separating the nose and mouth area from the eye area (lens) of the full mask.
It is used to reduce misting of the lens and enhance comfort. It is fitted with: three inhalation valves used to inhaled filtered air from the outside;
an exhalation valve used to exhale air; a sound device used to enhance clarity of communication. /a system for attaching the mask to the face
either by: a rigid strap, adjusted by rack and knob, a ROTOR system (ROTOR GALAXY M9200) See photo: 1A; a set of four straps, with
adjustable loops (STRAP GALAXY M9300) See photo 1B.
WEARING AND ADJUSTMENT:
1 Installing the mask: To release the harness to be able to place it on the head, pull on the blue knob with one hand, and with the other pull the
mask in the opposite direction. (See photo: 2A). To place the head inside the mask, position the neck first and then position the face by sliding
the mask downwards. (See photo: 3A)
2 Adjusting the mask: When the chin is positioned in the inner mask, turn the knob clockwise until the face is evenly and comfortably laying along
the facial seal. (See photo: 4A) Adjust the size of the harness by pressing on the two blue buttons and sliding the harness arms one way or the
other so that it perfectly fits the shape of the head. (See photo: 5A)
3 Removing the mask: Pull on the blue knod with one hand to open the system. Raise the mask taking the neck out first and then release the
face. (See photos: 6A & 7A).
4 Checking sealing (See photos: 8A&8B): Before entering a contaminated area, you must check the sealing of the mask on the face and the
exhalation valves. When the mask is installed and adjusted, place the palm of your hand over the threaded connection and inhale deeply. The
negative pressure created inside the mask must stick it firmly to the face. There must be no leaking of air to inside the mask. If a leak is detected,
identify and eliminate it. Once the sealing test is successful, the filtering cartridges can be connected. If the leak cannot be eliminated, do not
enter the contaminated area.
5 Mounting / removing the attachment systems: The mask is sold with its attachment system fitted. It is strongly recommended not to remove the
attachment system. If this is essential, it is important to following the instructions below for fitting: The two widest arms must be clipped to the to
upper visor attachments (See photos: 9A & 10A). The two thinnest arms must be clipped to the to lower visor attachments (See photos: 11A &
12A). To unclip them push the attachment points on the visors hard on the arms on the ROTOR.
M9300 - STRAP GALAXY:
1 Installing the mask: Extend the arms of the straps as far as possible. (See photo: 2B) Pull open the lower neck arms and place the face into
the face-piece. (See photo: 3B)
2 Adjusting the mask: When the chin is positioned in the inner mask, pull on each of the two upper straps (See photo 4B) then on the two lower
straps (See photo 5B). The face must be evenly and comfortable laying along the facial seal. The straps lock automatically lock in position, fold
them back behind the head to prevent any hindrance. (See photo: 6B)
3 Removing the mask: Pull the straps towards the front of the face to release the system. (See photo: 7B)
4 Mounting / removing the attachment systems: The set of four straps (STRAP GALAXYM9300):: The grooves along the arms must be placed
against the head, the longest straps pointing towards the bottom. (See photo: 9B) Clip the four attachments on the connection elements on the
visor. (See photos: 10B,11B & 12B) To unclip them push the attachment points on the visors hard on the strap attachments. The straps can be
removed by pulling them through the loops.
Usage limits: Do not use out of the scope of use defined in the instructions above. DELTA PLUS shall not be held liable in the event of improper
use or incorrect maintenance of this equipment; These masks must be used by qualified and trained personnel. These people must remain under
the surveillance and responsibility of management perfectly aware of the limits of use and the laws in force in the country of use; These masks
must not be used with positive pressure respiratory devices; These masks must not be used with closed circuit oxygen respiratory devices; It is
unlikely that sealing requirements be met if beard hair or glasses pass under the airtight surface; Enriched oxygen poses a very high risk of fire
or explosion. Take this into consideration when selecting your equipment; These masks can only be worn with their filtration system in
atmospheres where the oxygen concentration is > 18%; Do not use this respiratory protection device in potentially explosive atmospheres; Before
entering a contaminated area, you must check the sealing of the mask; These masks have been designed for use with certain items of personal
protective equipment (hard hats, ear defenders). Check that using them simultaneously does not interfere with the level of protection of each
item of equipment. The inspections, dismantling and maintenance of the mask and its different components must only be performed by a
competent person or organization. The frequency of inspections must comply with national regulations and in any case an inspection must be
performed at least once a year. Before using this mask after cleaning or a long period without use, it should be ensured that it is perfectly effective.

Storage/Cleaning instructions: Store in a clean room, away from dust, extreme low or high temperatures, sunlight, excessive moisture or
chemicals. Storage temperature range: >0°C/<40°C - When not in use, the product should be kept in his original packaging. Clean and disinfect
using warm soapy water or neutral detergent. Allow to dry freely in a non-contaminated atmosphere. Never use solvents, abrasive or noxious
products. Special care must be paid to cleaning the valves. It is not recommended to fully dismantle the mask for further maintenance. It is difficult
to determine the limit for use after the first use. It depends on the atmosphere in the workplace and the conditions of use. In any case, it is
recommended to destroy the mask to prevent reuse after a maximum of 10 years of use or storage or if a fault appears during an inspection (see
point VI – MAINTENANCE).
