tension mechanism, the spool (11)
must have stopped completely before
you restart the device. If the line is ini-
tially longer than the cutting circle,
the line cutter (27) will automatically
shorten them to the correct length.
Procedure (Fig. D)
1. Check the nylon line regularly for
damage and make sure the cutting
line still has the length specified by
the line cutter.
2. If no line ends are visible:
Replace the spool (see
Maintenance, p. 30).
3. Adjust the line length manually:
Remove the battery (17) from the
device!
Lightly pull on the line end and
press the locking button (25) re-
peatedly if necessary until the line
end protrudes beyond the line cut-
ter (27).

1. Press the button (19) next to the
charge level indicator button (20)
on the battery (17).
The LEDs of the charge level in-
dicator show how much charge re-
mains in the battery.
2. Charge the battery (17) when only
the red LED on the charge level in-
dicator (20) is illuminated.

Charging the battery
1. Remove the battery (17) from the
device.
2. Push the battery (17) into the char-
ging slot of the battery charger
(16).
3. Connect the battery charger (16) to
a power outlet.
4. After charging, disconnect the bat-
tery charger (16) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery (17) out of the bat-
tery charger (16).
