9. Operating modes

The All-in-One+ Connect has four operating modes. They see to convenient, controlled and easy operation of the fi lling of the heating
installation.
You can select the following modes of operation:

Initial fi lling / Refi ll
Any new or existing (untreated) heating installation is automatically fi lled or refi lled with conditioned water under
consideration of the pressure and fi lling volume in order to be operational with conditioned water with a conductivity of <100 μS.
This process ends when reaching the previously set system pressure. The refi ll will be carried out automatically once the system pressure
falls below the lower set value.
A basic leakage protection function is provided by monitoring the initial fi lling or refi ll times and the maximum number of fi lling cycles.
If the installation is equipped with a water conditioning cartridge, it has to be pre-set. To do so, fi rst select the raw water and the desired soft
water hardness. Then set the cartridge type (HWE, HVE, HVE+) and
next the size of the cartridge. Once this information has been
entered, the total capacity of a completely fi lled cartridge
is calculated. This max. volume available has to be monitored.
The fi lling will be interrupted once the capacity is exhausted and,
if required, will be continued after a cartridge replacement.

Manual fi lling
The intention of this function is to ensure that the heating installation continues to be operational in an emergency, even in case of a
permanent pressure loss and a switch to fault mode of the installation if it is refi lled too frequently.
It is possible to set cartridges of variable sizes between 1 l and 100 l. If you want to switch between different cartridge types or if you want
to use partially empty cartridges until they are completely exhausted, you have to indicate their residual capacity (fi lling level in %).
Measuring conductivity is one possibility to detect an exhausted cartridge. If a sudden increase in water hardness is detected, the device
stops the fi lling or refi lling operation and switches to fault mode. The conductivity monitoring only applies to HVE / HVE Plus cartridges.

To fi ll a new or empty heating installation for the fi rst
time, the fi lling time will be monitored. If the system
pressure fails to be reached within this time, the initial
fi lling or respectively the refi ll will be aborted!
