Protection class
The CPB2/CPBA2 pumps meet the requirements of protection
class II and therefore do not require a protective earth conduc-
tor. In terms of moisture, the pumps meet the requirements of
protection class IP 42.
Gravity Circulation
In rare cases, a check valve may not be sufficient to prevent gravi-
ty circulation. A simple remedy is to install a second check valve
„in series", i.e. a second check valve directly after the first valve.
Dry-run protection
The engine is alternately stopped and restarted until the excess
air is no longer present (usually by bleeding the circulation line
- vent flange (KBN: CEF150)). This prevents premature bearing
wear due to increased friction. This integrated dry-running
protection is permanently active in the COSMO circulation pumps
– CPB2 and CPBA2.
